Why we insist on doing all four.
Hire one company for networking, another for cameras, an electrician for switches. That's how most Singapore homes end up with four separate "smart" systems that don't talk to each other.
We design all four as one. The door sensor that triggers the lights needs the network to carry that signal. The camera that records a clip needs the storage wired in advance. A smart switch on a bad network is just a switch.
